Large industrial facilities with contract demand over 1 MW elect an interruptible capacity block and commit to shed 500 kW or more during TVA events.
Key details
Participants sign a tariff rider and receive monthly bill credits per Nominated kW and curtailed kWh without competitive bidding.
TVA may order capacity events up to 4 hours and emergency events anytime with 30‑minute to 2‑hour Notice.
Metered demand during events is compared to contract limits, and credits are adjusted monthly with a year‑end true‑up for missed performance.
