Large C&I customers enter contracts with TID to curtail load when called upon in exchange for monthly credits.
Key details
Participants receive a monthly credit per committed kW of curtailable load.
TID calls load reduction events during system peaks or emergencies.
Penalties are assessed for non-performance based on under-delivered kW relative to contract.
