Commercial and industrial customers install eligible electrochemical batteries and commit to 10-year agreements for dispatchable load reduction.
Key details
No bidding; customers apply for pre-approval and receive staged incentive payments. The incentive is calculated as the lesser of: $10,000 X kW nominated, $10,000 X kWh/4 nominated, or 80% of eligible project costs.
Approved batteries are dispatched through BC Hydro’s DERMS year-round.
Incentives are paid in tranches: delivery, energization, and DERMS integration, with clawbacks for non-performance.
